In 2018 ‘The Glen’ was purchased by Glenanne Crown Prince LOL 133 and transferred to the Glenanne Development Association for management and development.
The vision of the Association's members is to restore The Glen to its former glory, opening the woodland up as a shared community space for everyone to enjoy.
The site, encompassing almost forty acres, is of great significance to the history and heritage of Glenanne and the village owes its existence to the once thriving linen factories situated in The Glen.
We have a number of volunteers freely giving their time and effort to develop The Glen but, without access to the funding required to continue the enhancement and maintenance of this unique asset, the project will stall.
To support the journey in restoring and maintaining The Glen's paths, bridges and walkways, saving and encouraging wildlife and maintaining the history and heritage of the area, we'd be very grateful indeed for donations.
You are, of course, more than welcome to visit The Glen at any time to enjoy and see how the donations are being used. We are also happy to organise guided tours for anyone making a donation.
