Wiltshire Digital Drive is a Community Interest Company established during lockdown to recycle, re-use & re-distribute second-hand laptops to individuals who can't afford access to technology or the opportunities it affords us.
Since October 2020 we have saved over 6.5 tonnes of technology from going to landfill and have redistributed over 2,000 machines to those suffering from digital poverty, free of charge. In 2022 alone we have provided 335 laptops to refugee families who have fled to the UK.
It costs just £30 to refurbish a laptop with new hardware and casing to protect it and we've set ourselves a target of doubling this year on year over the next 5 years.
We need your support! We're asking you to give the gift of tech this Christmas and help us raise enough money to get our re-furbishing off to a positive start in 2023. £8,500 will mean we can match 283 machines to individuals who really need them.
