Hi, I'm Andrea. I was born and raised in Guatemala. A country of extraordinary beauty, rich culture, and happy loving people. The Mayan communities here hold deep wisdom, warmth, and values that the modern world has overlooked.

But they live with very little economic resources.

Extreme living conditions are a daily reality for many families in these communities.

And one of the most basic things missing from their homes is something most of us have never had to think about: a bed.

Some families sleep on the floor. Others share a single mattress between two, three, or sometimes more people. Rest, real, restorative, dignified rest is not something everyone here has access to.

To address this urgent need, we established The Gift of Rest.

Our mission is simple: to make sure every family in San Marcos La Laguna, Lake Atitlán has a mattress.

Every human being deserves to wake up restored.
