Blessings to All, my name is Brandy Gaynor-Maioriello and I am the mother of an amazing little girl who has had to fight for her life within the womb and everyday since. During her latest fight, there was a surgical complication that resulted in severe irreparable damage to her brain.

She is one of five children. Her father and I are both Army veterans. My husband is currently transition out of the military. His intentions were to get a job and continue to provide for our family. Given this sudden and unexpected tragedy, all we want to do is be there for our daughter and give her the best chance to fight and overcome her condition.

At this point of transition, our only source of income will be our VA Disability and retirement pay. We are asking for any and all help that can be provided. Every prayer and penny counts.

The funds raised will be allocated to household expenses, groceries, gas to and from appointments, vehicle and household modifications as needed. We pray that with everyone’s support both parents will be able to be at her side and care for her siblings as well.

As Gracie progresses, we are discovering there are major renovations that must happen to our home to make it accessible to Gracie. All future donations will be going directly to these renovations. For those who know Gracie, you know how much she loves being outside. We have opted to have a large stroller/wheelchair friendly deck built. However, we have discovered that none of her means of mobility fit through our current door to the deck. We will have to expand the door opening. This is our priority. Major renovations that need to be performed is the replacement of the floors. The "flippers" used poor materials and subpar contractors to install the current floor. Nails from the subfloor are protruding through the LVT flooring, the tiles are pulling apart from one another, and cracking causing dips and uneven transitions. Lastly, we discovered our kitchen does not support Gracie being in there with us. Her stroller only fits through one opening and once she is in there, there is no room others. The kitchen is the heart of the house and Gracie is the heart of our family... We need her with us, no matter what room we are in.
