Hello! We’re Dan and Holly, theatre makers and graduates of East 15 Acting school. We are raising money to help transform the function room of the beloved Gardener’s Arms into a new theatre space for the community of Loughton and beyond (with permission from our wonderful landlady, Tracy of course).

Having worked in the pub for a long time now, as well as hosting Pub Quiz’ and Music Nights, we have seen the potential for creating a theatre in the venue. This will be an exciting venture for all, offering affordable professional theatre, stand up comedy and music to all, and enjoyment for the patrons that will serve the community for years to come.

We need the money for essential theatre needs: curtains, chairs, lighting and sound equipment, and most importantly putting up a stage. The theatre will act as an artistic hub in the area, supporting emerging and established artists to produce work and bring professionally curated programming to the doorstep of the people of Loughton. It’s going to be lots of fun but we need some financial support to get it off the ground!

Please share this page with friends, family and local groups - and come along once it’s built to be part of the experience!
