# Help Us Tell Teignbridge's Story

**Our Goal: £3,000**

The Teignbridge Archaeological Society was founded with one simple mission: **to make archaeology accessible to everyone.**

We believe that the history beneath our feet belongs to the whole community. Through practical excavations, educational talks, guided walks, and school outreach, we are helping people of all ages discover the incredible stories hidden within Teignbridge's landscape.

In a very short space of time, we have already achieved more than we ever imagined. We have delivered our first school archaeology excavation, with many more planned across Teignbridge. We are developing a partnership with Newton Abbot Museum to expand public talks and community engagement, and around **40 local homeowners** have already volunteered their gardens as part of **The Garden Project**, a unique initiative investigating the hidden archaeology beneath people's homes.

One of the most exciting developments is that, following discussions with the BBC, we have been asked to begin filming The Garden Project as they explore the potential for a future television series focused on community archaeology. This is an incredible opportunity to showcase Teignbridge's history, villages, landscapes, and communities to a much wider audience.

To make the most of this opportunity, we need your help.

## Why are we fundraising?

We are aiming to raise **£3,000** to purchase the equipment needed to professionally document our work and expand our educational outreach.

This equipment won't just be used for one project. It will allow us to:

* Film The Garden Project and future excavations.

* Create educational videos for schools.

* Livestream talks and events.

* Share archaeology with care homes and people who are unable to attend in person.

* Build a lasting digital archive of Teignbridge's archaeological heritage.

* Inspire the next generation to take an interest in local history and archaeology.
