The Gang Runs The Philly Marathon for Charity!

Tax deductible
On November 24, 2024, Marcanthony Coppola, Jack Coppola, Thomas Stritt & Jose Buitrago will be running the Philadelphia Marathon to benefit Claudio Cares Foundation, Angels of Light & Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie! 100% of all donations will be evenly split between these charitable organizations!

Marcanthony is the brother of Claudio, Jack & Jose are Claudio’s cousins, & Thomas is his best friend! We do this in his memory! We chose Angels of Light & Children's Home of Poughkeepsie as charitable partners for this fundraising goal because their core values and charitable acts align with what Claudio stood for in his short time here! Any & all donations will make a difference in our community and help keep the memory of Claudio Coppola alive!

A little bit about the charities:

Claudio Cares Foundation:
The Claudio Cares Foundation’s main purpose and goal is to inspire young adults to achieve and earn greatness; to help them realize immediate and lasting changes in their lives and in the lives of others. We do this in the memory of Claudio Coppola, who on November 9, 2012, tragically lost his life at the age of 16. The Claudio Cares Foundation works to assist those that Claudio cared for and will continue to strive to aid those individuals that embody the spirit of Claudio.

Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie:
On January 21, 1847, a group of Poughkeepsie women called the Female Guardian Society met to form the Poughkeepsie Orphan House and Home of the Friendless to care for the poor, abandoned and neglected in their communities, most especially the children. Their belief was that all children deserve a nurturing and caring environment. More than 177 years later, their work continues. Today, the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie provides a full range of Community Based Services and Residential Services giving hope and healing to at-risk children throughout New York State. The Home is licensed by the New York State Office of Children & Family Services, the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Department of Health. The Children’s Home is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for its exemplary adherence to human welfare agency guidelines.

Angels of Life:
The idea for Angels of Light, Inc. was created over 20 years ago by Lori and George Decker, with the simple mission, that year, to help a family in need by providing Holiday gifts for their child with a life-threatening illness. Every family can fall on hard times, but it is especially difficult for families fighting for a loved one’s life. With the help of their family the number of families grew yearly, and Angels of Light became a 501c3 in 2016. Since Angels of Light first began they have delivered over 15,000+ gifts to over 2,000 children living in the Hudson Valley. Angels of Light also assists children and families with life-threatening illnesses living in the Hudson Valley, has expanded to helping children and families all year-round with medical bills, utilities, food, gas, and much more.
