The Gallery of Shorthand teaches the history and art of the preservation of the spoken word. The profession is the second oldest in the world and has been an integral part of history being preserved as far back as the ancient Egyptians.

The Gallery of Shorthand was created by Dom Tursi, a legend in the field of Court Reporting. Dom Tursi was a reporter for 60 years where he was a State Court Reporter, World-Wide Freelance Reporter, and Federal Court Reporter. He was also a Historian, World Record Holder, Collector, Mentor, Past President of the United States Court Reporter's Association (USCRA), two time President of the New York State Court Reporter's Association (NYSCRA). But above all, he was a mentor, teacher, and friend.
