“I Never Saw It Coming”

Words no parent, no child, no peer wants to speak. We all want our younger generation, our family, friends, community our village to be Safe and Know they are Valuable, Worthy, and Deserve Happiness!!

Lack of Self Esteem, Worth, and confidence set girls up to be victims for all sorts of things.

Did you know in the United States:
 - 3.2 million children are bullied every year by age 14
 - 1 in 8 children are affected by an anxiety disorder
 - 1.5 million high school students suffer physical abuse from a partner
 - Three hundred thousand children are sex trafficked every year with the average age a teen enters the sex trade in the U.S. is 12 to 14-year-old, who are highly targeted or "groomed" by individuals connected to the sex trafficking world.

Guess What.  This issue isn’t across the globe happening to someone else; this issue affects Every Single Zip Code, including yours!!

Ready for the good news? We can change this. We have the power to impact our youth and allow the ripples to Impact our future positively.

It starts with awareness; it continues with empowerment, it changes with self esteem, self worth, self confidence not being words to describe a plan, instead words to describe what we are instilling in your girl's essence today.

Who benefits from The Fusion Project?
Girls between the age of 12-14 years of age attend the program.  High School age girls are mentors.  So, both the Jr. High School and High School aged girls benefit.

Why this age group?
Girls self-esteem is the highest right before puberty and the lowest between the ages of 12-14. This age group is the most vulnerable, and when their core esteem, confidence, and worth breaks, then the ripples can lead to abusive experience, whether that is self-inflicted abuse or external abuse.

Research has revealed that increased self-esteem decreased the potential for girls to become victims to all sorts of behavior, ranging from bullying to trafficking.

We do not want any girl to become a statistic. In this program, girls get the chance to develop social skills, value their uniqueness, build character, and diminish the potential of victimization in a supportive, fun, and safe environment. All girls are welcome.

Why should we care?

Why the PSA's:
Tamara Hunter is running to become the first "The Next Impactor." She entered The Next Impactor Contest with the platform to build my 501(c)3 Chemo Buddies 4life EIN# 82-3489893, which is healing through connections within the buddies network those who have heard, "You have cancer."

Why is Amy Morrison involved?
Because of The Fusion Project.

Why are we raising funds for The Fusion Project:
The Next Impactor challenged the "Impactors" to see if they could raise funds for another cause.  Tamara's team, Team Todd Speciale, picked The Fusion Project.

Why the $10,000.00 goal:
The original goal for the team of ten was $10,000.00 each.  Tamara, along with Amy, are working to fulfill this goal for a program that is making a difference in our young girls' lives.

When do we have to have this goal met to win The Next Impactor:
The last full day to receive donations is August 22nd.

Will you join us to raise funds and awareness? With each dollar raised will support two causes:  The Fusion Project and Chemo Buddies 4life.

You get a double WIN with each dollar donated!

Together we will make a difference!
