Cara Soulia, a photographer out of Massachusetts, came up with a great idea to bring people together, The Front Steps Project. Genius! I love this idea so much I wanted to bring it to Chesapeake.
Starting tomorrow, I will be taking quick photos of Hickory residents and areas close to us. Within 24 hours I will email you a digital file of that portrait. In exchange, all I ask is that you make a donation to The Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Outer Banks . These photos will be posted on Facebook and Instagram using #TheFrontStepsProject.
The purpose of this project is to bring us together when we might be feeling alone or stuck. To see the smiles we all still have! It is also a great opportunity to help those in need!
These are quick, five minute photos on your patio. ONLY outdoors and I will be keeping a 10 foot distance for safety. You will know when I am coming. I will message or call you when I have arrived. I will instruct you how to stand, take a few photos and then I will be on my way. This is not the type of photo shoot where you get all dressed up and have your hair and makeup done and move around to get different poses. Just your everyday hanging at your home selves ready to smile for the camera!
