It is with a heavy heart that we write this request for our dear friends, the Franco Family: Jake, Angel, and Jacob (7). As many of you know, Jake has been fighting brain cancer (Glioblastoma) for the past 2 years. He has undergone 2 major brain surgeries, chemo, and radiation. Through all of that, Jake has remained positive, joyful, and such a light to those around him.

Since Jake’s last brain surgery (2 months ago), the tumor has grown back at an alarming rate. Sadly, his team of doctors say there is no treatment left to give Jake. He has been sent home on hospice with a very short time to live. Jake has been an incredibly hard worker and the sole financial provider for his family. As a carpenter, contractor, and lastly a construction superintendent, Jake’s skills and leadership were exceptional. Along the way, Jake has always taken the time to help those around him with his time and talents, even continuing to help others while suffering from cancer.

Now, the Francos need our help. Due to Jake’s illness, he has been unable to work full-time for the past 2 years. Recently, Jake’s disability payments have run out. The family is left with mounting medical bills and canceled life insurance, putting them in a place of real financial need.
