On August 29, 2025, our lives were turned upside down when we lost my dad, Brett DeMond. Our Lake Vista Market family, our friends, and all of our people have been so incredible during this dark time. Throughout this loss, the most important thing I've learned is that sometimes you must humbly ask for help - be it with traveling through grief, taking things off your plate, or financially. My father was a business owner, a community member, and a loving PopPop to my three kids. He was a generous man, who gave back. As we face the unknown, we've found that there are expenses that we just can't put off as we await any funds that may head in our direction at some point. We just completed a move from out-of-state and our savings were drained in doing so. We have both missed work and with a funeral to pay for, my dad's very ill dog to care for, a house in Indiana that hasn't sold yet, a dead car, and our furnace on the fritz - we have found ourselves in an incredibly tight spot. So, I'm here, asking for help. We appreciate any donations that come our way, and I promise that when someday comes - we'll give back too.
