The final Grannypaloza

As you may be aware, Dr. Jeremy Hockett, aka Granny, apparently had more important things to do than to hang out with us in this realm. Since he had to leave the building rather abruptly, we thought we would throw one final Grannypaloza without him, the proper way now that we can do what WE want.

For a fitting valediction and let-the-door-hit-you-on-the-way-out to our beloved Ol Biddy, we are requesting donations to cover the costs for Grannypaloza, including but not limited to: food and refreshments, portapotties, effigy burn materials, and travel costs for those who are key to making this event happen.

Any remaining unused funds will be donated to the following charitable organizations in Jeremy’s honor: the Barn Sanctuary in Chelsea, Michigan, Monarch Watch, and Honeybee and Fungi Research Fund a joint project with Washington State University, and Fungi Perfecti (Paul Stamets’ organization).

For full transparency, these funds will be directed to this fundraiser and 100% will be given to Granny's Family for use by the individuals who are helping the family plan this Celebration. This fundraising effort, along with Grannypaloza, has been approved by the Hockett family. A full accounting will be posted to reflect how all of your donations are applied to these efforts.
