The Fig Fund at Black Fig Gallery
Art that gives back. (Literally.)
The Fig Fund helps local artists thrive while making original art accessible to lower-income community members and pensioners - because art deserves to be valued, and everyone deserves the chance to experience it.
Funds are raised through Fig Fund workshops, community events, and yes - even some of the bar sales from exhibition openings (so every glass poured helps keep creativity flowing).
Here’s how it works: when someone falls in love with a piece but can’t quite reach the full price, The Fig Fund steps in to bridge the gap - ensuring we protect artistic value so the artist receives their full payment, and the artwork finds the home it was meant for.
We believe original art is one of life’s necessities - not just a luxury, but something that connects, heals, and reminds us who we are and how we wish to be seen in this world.
Got questions, want to contribute in some other way, or need a quiet chat about expressing interest in a piece? Email us anytime at [email redacted].au.
Because generosity looks good on everyone - and valuing art looks even better.
