Hey everyone, this is an update from Sonya and Ralf. The original message is down below for those that are new to the story.
"Hello everyone, thank you so much for helping us to be with Shae, your continuous love and support is tremendously appreciated. Shae was recently discharged from the ICU but had to be re-admitted due to her low oxygen levels. She is currently in rehab for physical and occupational therapy, which will hopefully teach her the skills she needs in her daily life. Shae will be in the hospital for many more months, but things are definitely improving. Her arms are getting much stronger as she continues to work on her upper body strength, and she is learning to lift herself from her bed to her motorized wheelchair. She continues to breathe on her own, but still occasionally coughs. Shae still has no fine motor skills, but her memory is improving, with occasional short term memory problems. She continues to show so much strength and determination throughout this long journey and we are so happy we have been able to support her and help her. We have been going to see her every weekend and we are really enjoying our time with her. Shae also wanted to extend her thanks to everyone for helping us be able to spend time with her. Thank you so much for all the kind messages and support, it really makes a word of difference."

Hi, my name is Josh Kolesar, I am fundraising on behalf of Sonya and Ralf Kampe, the billet family I live with. Their twenty-six-year-old niece Shay Lynne was recently in an apartment fire in Brandon where she was forced to jump from a three-story building, fracturing her neck, and leaving her quadriplegic. She is now at the Health Science Center in Winnipeg in the intensive care unit and will have to stay there for a minimum of a year. Sonya and Ralf are her uncle and aunt have been her only family for years since her mother's passing eight years ago. Living in Brandon, and taking the time off work to go see their niece, Sonya and Ralf could seriously use the help to stay in Winnipeg for longer than a night at a time. Shay Lynne has had an extremely difficult life and has struggled severely since her mother's passing. She has had severe brain damage and suffered so much pain from the accident and she needs her aunt and uncle to be in the hospital holding her hand. Thank you so much for the love and support, everything helps.
