My name is Cassandra Jenkins, and I am Christopher’s sister. It is with profound and unimaginable heartbreak that I share the loss of Christopher Eric Jenkins.
On Thursday, 18th June, Christopher tragically and horrifically died following complications from elective ENT tonsil surgery. He went into surgery hoping for something so simple—a better night’s sleep. Instead, our family has been left living every loved one’s worst nightmare.
There are simply no words that can truly describe the man Christopher was.
He was a devoted father, a loving partner, a cherished son, an adoring brother, a loyal friend, and the kind of person who would do absolutely anything for the people he loved. Family wasn’t just important to Christopher—it was his entire world.
To me, he wasn’t just my brother.
He was my sibling soulmate, my protector, my greatest supporter, my safest place, and the person I loved most in this world.
We were close throughout our childhood, but as adults our bond became something truly special. We spoke every day. We lived together. He moved his entire family across states to support me in my darkest times. We celebrated life’s highs together, carried each other through its lows, and always knew we had one another, no matter what.
He was my constant.
The thought of living the rest of my life without his laughter, his guidance, his kindness, and the comfort of knowing he was only ever a phone call away feels impossible.
Despite the overwhelming grief, I know how incredibly lucky I was to have him as my brother. To be loved by Christopher was one of life’s greatest gifts. His heart was enormous, his generosity knew no limits, and the love he gave so freely changed the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
But above everything else, Christopher was a father.
His beautiful children, Lila-Belle and Lincoln Jenkins, were the light of his life. Every decision he made, every hour he worked, every sacrifice he made was for them. He was fiercely proud of them and dedicated his life to making sure they were loved, protected, and given every opportunity to thrive.
Now, in the midst of unimaginable grief, they are also facing an uncertain future without the man who worked so hard to provide for them. It is a reality Christopher would never have wanted.
This fundraiser has been created to honour Christopher in the most meaningful way we can—by helping care for the family he loved beyond measure.
The funds raised will help provide immediate financial support for Christopher’s family as they navigate life without him. He was the sole provider, no government assistance, and now there is no income. The funds will assist with everyday living expenses like food, rent and household costs immediately so Elle can still provide a roof over the families head while a long term solution can be achieved. This will help ensure Lila-Belle and Lincoln have stability during this terrible adjustment period.
While nothing can ever replace the love, guidance, and presence of their father, I hope this support will ease some of the burden during the difficult months and years ahead.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a genuine difference. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Sharing this page and keeping Christopher’s family in your thoughts means more than words can express.
Christopher’s life was defined by love, loyalty, generosity, and putting others before himself. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue through his children, his family, and the countless people whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.
Christopher will never be forgotten. His love lives on in Lila-Belle and Lincoln, in the memories we will treasure forever, and in the lives he touched with his kindness and compassion.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during the most difficult time of our lives. Every donation, every message, and every share is a reminder that Christopher’s family is not facing this journey alone.
