My name is Christopher Rutland, and I am Chris's nephew. I am fundraising for his children.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Runnels, a cherished father to three remarkable children and a dear friend to all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Chris had an unwavering passion for life and a contagious enthusiasm for football, particularly when rallying behind his son, Jesse, and his beloved Miami Dolphins.

On the morning of December 19th, Chris departed from this world at Forrest General Hospital, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. His sudden passing has left his children—Jesse (17), Emma Grace (19), and Bayleigh (22)—grappling with the immense emotional whirlwind of their father's absence while shouldering the responsibility of arranging his final services.
