My friends and supporters know that I am adopted. I recently found my birth family and this family supported me every step of the way. I'd like to ask you to help me, help them realize their adoption dream.
The Evans family has a passion for two boys from an orphanage in Eastern Europe who have visited their home multiple times though a hosting program, Project 143. These two precious hearts already feel like part of their family!
A couple of years ago Tom and Mara's dream to adopt the boys was not possible. In the past several months a new opportunity has opened and they have been able to re-start the adoption process. The major steps necessary to travel to bring the boys home have already been completed...an approved home study, a “best interest" decision by the orphan’s court, the I-800A visa from the US government, and finally the official “referral” of these two boys. Travel is scheduled for June 16!
Since the process started, the younger brother has been diagnosed with Leukemia and has spent significant time in the hospital going through chemotherapy. He has recently been released as the cancer is in remission. Please keep him in your prayers.
I would like to invite you to partner with us on this journey. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. Adopting two children adds further expense. This is why I have set a goal of $5,000.00 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We can reach this goal. Please, let me know if you'd like to make a larger donation and receive a charitable contribution receipt. I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community that made this adoption possible.
