HELP US RAISE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY FOR THE ECHO FOUNDATION FOOTSTEPS INITIATIVE!!
Footsteps Global Initiative provides regional youth with the opportunity to learn about, travel to, and serve locations of humanitarian importance, exposing students to a GLOBAL perspective. Footsteps is a transformative experiential opportunity for students to broaden their awareness of critical world issues through hands-on discovery. This leadership and travel initiative examines global responsibility to intervene in the face of injustice. As Ambassadors of The Echo Foundation, they share their expanded world views with the greater community. With a focus on The Galapagos Islands, Footsteps offers students the opportunity to witness first-hand this magnificent habitat and meet the people who live there. As Charles Darwin said about the Galapagos, “The natural history of this archipelago is very remarkable: it seems to be a little world within itself.” Through study with scientists, local farmers, medical service providers, and more, students will gain new insight into global environmental challenges, evolutionary adaptation, and conservation efforts.
