Hi my name is Laura Davey and I am fundraising for my family. We have been through a lot!!!!! In 2021 my mum Shirley got diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have radio therapy. She also requires medication since then e.g. cancer tablets. She has been unable to work since the operation. Then suddenly in 2022 my dad Steven got diagnosed with Colon cancer and had to go through 9 sessions of chemo therapy and radio therapy also. In June 2023 he had a big operation resulting in him having to use a stoma bag for the rest of his life and he is still recovering. He wont be able to continue working at his old job unless they give him a job that doesn't require heavy lifting. My sister Ashling is in college trying to become a secondary school teacher and finding it very difficult with no income and myself, I am also in college doing a plc in art. We are also having difficulties with cars, our car has several problems including water coming from an unknown source in the boot and oil under the bonnet. We have gone to the garage to try fix it and when they do something else seems to go wrong with the car. We have very little income due to cancer and trying to survive on illness benefits. We have the usual bills coming into the house which is alarming when both parents are ill. Any donations are appreciated just to help us get through this very tough time.
