The Daley’s IVF journey

Donation protected
Some of you may already know that my beautiful sister and her incredible husband have been on their journey with infertility for nearly three years now. Anyone who has ever been through it knows that it is incredibly draining emotionally, physically, and financially. On the off chance that you don’t know them, let me tell you a little bit about The Daley’s.

My sister; Leanna to most, Mrs. Daley to some, and Yaya to her favorite little people, is the most selfless, generous, and kind woman you will ever meet. She is the music teacher at our local Elementary school and is so loved by every single child and person who knows her. She loves theatre and is very involved at Winston Salem Theatre Alliance where she has lit up the stage in many roles over the last few years. She has also headed numerous fundraising efforts for her beloved student and friends. (We love you Emma and Edwards Family)

Patrick is the most devoted, loving husband and hasn’t been given nearly enough credit for all the things he has done to make their dreams of growing their family a reality. He loves my sister so completely and I thank God for him every day.

Over the last three years, they have been fighting a battle that only a few knew about because if you’ve seen them, you’d never know that they were in the midst of the biggest fight of their lives. When they decided to grow their family, they had no idea the obstacles that laid ahead. An unsuccessful vasectomy reversal, extremely low egg count, and one failed round of IVF to name a few. After their initial round of IVF ended in a devastating miscarriage and they were told there was no hope for conceiving a child without either a sperm or egg donor, they decided to seek a second opinion.

This very much “cliff notes” version brings us to now. Now, let me tell you about God. An appointment at a new IVF clinic that should’ve taken months of waiting, opened up in weeks. A new doctor who completely disagreed with the other clinic and has so many ideas and new procedures to drastically increase their odds of a successful pregnancy. That extremely low egg count we talked about before? More than doubled. This can’t be explained with science and even the new doctor called it a medical miracle. I believe this is Gods way of letting her know she’s exactly where she’s supposed to be and that it’s all going to work out.

Obviously, three years of countless appointments and procedures not covered by insurance has taken a toll on their finances and that’s where I need your help! I desperately want to ease the stress of “but how are we going to afford it?”. I can’t think of two people who are more deserving of this precious gift and I know that together, we can raise enough money to take the financial stress out of the equation!

If you feel led to donate, please do. If you can’t, please share and we will always welcome prayers and positive thoughts sent their way! Let’s come together and help two amazing people who always help everyone else!
