Dale Oarsmen Row the Thames for Local Charities
Donation protected
In support of Paul Sartori & St Ishmaels Juniors Cricket Club.
On Thursday, 6th June 2024, five friends and members of Dale Rowing Club, Pembrokeshire will undertake a 140-mile rowing challenge along the River Thames, rowing continuously for 8 hours a day.
Starting in Lechlade, Gloucestershire, Dan Jones, Jamie Gainfort, Martin Cox, Neil Orton, and Sion Slaymaker will embark on a demanding six-day row, braving the river’s challenges to reach their final destination London on Tuesday.
This tremendous effort is in aid of two worthy causes that mean a great deal to the rowers: the Paul Sartori Foundation, which provides vital support to those facing life-limiting illnesses in Pembrokeshire and offer comfort and care to individuals and families during their toughest times; also the St Ishmaels Juniors Cricket Club, a voluntary group of people who nurture local young athletes and provide opportunities for them to thrive in an inclusive sporting environment that they love.
Every stroke the rowers take will be fuelled by their desire to raise funds to support both organisations, but they can’t do it alone. They need your help to reach their fundraising target. Please donate today.
You can follow their journey via Dale Oarsmen on Instagram and the boys’ social media accounts.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
