Hi, my name is Heather, and in October I will be taking on the Great South Run to raise money for the Daisy Ring Bus. This provides a vital transport service for Isle of Wight residents who are receiving cancer treatment on the mainland. The service meets patients arriving on the Hovercraft and Wightlink fast cat in Portsmouth and Southsea, and the red jet in Southampton , before taking them safely to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth or Southampton General Hospital for their appointments. For many undergoing treatment, travelling can be exhausting and stressful. Daisy Ring Bus helps to make these journeys easier providing reliable transport and friendly support when it’s needed the most.
