I’m taking on a Firewalk challenge to raise money for two causes I would like to support, which are closely connected.

The event has been organised by local Scout Laanii, who has been selected as one of the Isle of Wight representatives for the World Scout Jamboree 2027. She has chosen to share her fundraising with the Daisy Ring Bus, a vital service her family relies on while her dad travels to the mainland for cancer treatment.

Walking on fire is well outside my comfort zone, but that is exactly why I am doing it. It feels like a meaningful way to challenge myself while supporting others.
