The Conversion of The Ark Bus

ARK at Egwood is an inter-generational land-based day service for people of all ages, needs and abilities. Based upon 12 acres of land and woodland, ARK creates a safe, outdoor space for people to relax, engage with others and improve their overall health and wellbeing. We grow our own produce, vegetables and flowers, and offer a number of rural based arts and crafts, cooking, hedge laying and other activities on site.
Currently, the staff and visitors use an old Taylor’s bus as a space to chill out, warm up in the winter, or as a general space for a chat over a cup of tea! However, it is in current need of a revamp to make it a more usable, comfortable and worthwhile space for everyone to use!
Our aim is to raise money to help the Team at Ark to achieve this!
Our targets are as follows:
- Paint the inside of the bus
- Replace the flooring
- Replace the old and tired furniture
- install a usable space for computer and paperwork
