Hello friends!

On October 27th 2022 our mom was taken to the hospital for double vision, extreme vertigo, and she was having trouble speaking a communicating clearly. She was taken to the hospital where they saw a large mass in her right ventricle cutting off the natural flow of spinal fluid in her brain. It was causing swelling and had become life threatening at that point. She was rushed the Emory hospital where they placed a permanent shunt and took a biopsy of the mass. It is a grad 4 cancerous glioma tumor the size of a golf ball. Since being diagnosed she has had serious issues with walking, going to the bathroom and doing any kind of daily basic functions. It's been incredibly difficult for my sisters and I to cope with her sudden onset illness as before this she was completely independent. It's also been hard emotionally. For those who know her she has a bright smile with a personality to match and since being diagnosed and treated she has lost all of that brightness about her. She still has jokes every once in a while but she doesn't smile, can barely speak sometimes and gets confused often. The 2 youngest girls(18&15) are having a hard time without their mom at home and Lauren(24) and I(27) are struggling financially to keep up with our bills as well as help take care of my sister's while visiting my mom in the hospital. She has been in and out due to her being unable to take care of herself anymore and is currently in rehab to try and get her basic functions back. She also went in without any kind of insurance and it has been difficult to get her signed up for any because of her income, resources and now she has a pre-existing condition. Any support would be helpful and we appreciate all the love and good vibes we received so far.
