My name is Zhenyu Sheng; my favorite growing-up story is about Winston Churchill’s United Kingdom, which never gave up during the Second World War in its pursuit of victory, particularly his speech encouraging people not to give up. He said, ‘We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air.’ This shows that once one builds an everlasting and persevering momentum, this momentum will enable them to overcome all suffering and pain, and it teaches us never to surrender against all odds. Music has the power to inspire change—and I, a passionate musician and lifelong philanthropist, am harnessing that power to uplift underprivileged children worldwide. Inspired by Winston Churchill’s resilience and leadership, My music embodies hope and determination. It bridges Churchill’s legacy with modern challenges, aiming to unite global audiences in support of educational equity.

Since age 5, I have championed charity through music, performing with the Pre-Shanghai Choir to aid left-behind and disabled children in China, donating thousands of books and clothes, and raising funds via concerts in the UK—from £500 for Aldro school equipment to £800 for COVID-impacted families in Winchester UK. Since I joined the Byron concert at Harrow School, the Byron choir has also raised thousands of pounds in various churches, including St Paul's, Westminster Abbey, Blenheim Palace, and St Mary's Church. Now, in partnership with Harrow School and the Harrow Foundation, I am addressing educational inequality by providing resources for children in need.
