The Cariello Family

My dad has been in and out of the hospital for the last 6 weeks due to a fall that has caused a broken hip and two broken ribs. Ever since then it has been a downward spiral for him. He had to have surgery when he fell to repair his hip and was in the icu before being transferred to a rehab facility. He unfortunately did not have the best care in the rehab facility and his wound from his hip surgery got a bacterial infection (with 4 different bacterial strains) and pneumonia so he was moved back to the hospital to have another surgery to remove the infection and he has been in the hospital ever since. Since being in the hospital he has had to have the surgery to remove the infection, and a Thoracentesis procedure to remove excess fluid from around his lungs. An ENT doctor also had to do a procedure to remove blood clots from his nasal cavity because he was bleeding from his nose and his mouth. He is still currently unable to work, and unable to walk. He still has a long recovery ahead of him so I’m looking to raise money for my parents to provide some financial relief as my father continues to heal since he is the sole provider of our household.
