Support for the Cardona Triplets

The Cardona triplets entered the world, rather unexpectedly, on January 19th around 12:45 pm! They were born at 27 weeks & 2 days. Orlando Mateo Cardona III was born at 12:47pm weighing 2 lbs 8.6 oz. Parker Marie Cardona was born at 12:49pm weighing 1 lb 0.9 oz. Lennon Grace Cardona was born at 12:49 weighing 1 lb 12.9 oz.

Being born as early as they were, they have a long journey ahead of them at Lucille Packard Hospital’s NICU. We are expecting them to be loved on for a few months while they continue to grow and be cared for by the amazing nurses and doctors.

We are so grateful for each of their little personalities and the team who gives us special reports everyday. Mateo is a lot like his dad (minus his very very blonde hair), very chill and runs very warm. Whenever we get to hold him, he is like our little personal heater!! Parker is very opinionated and likes to share with her whole care team when she has an objection to her care. Being the smallest of the bunch, we are extra grateful for her feisty personality. Lennon makes us and the nurses laugh every day. It’s a good (and scary) sign for Mom & Dad when every nurse lets us know how feisty she is and how she tries to rip off all of her wires!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and been praying for us during this exciting journey. With a high risk-pregnancy this meant multiple different challenges along the way. We can say that God’s hand and protection has been with us and have faith that He will continue to watch over our family.

Thank you to so many people who have asked how they can contribute financially to help. We are first time parents who have a lot to figure out but thankful to have a huge support system around us, which includes you! We are very grateful. We would use the funds collected to take additional time off of work when the babies get to come home, pay for any medical expenses that may accrue based on their months in the NICU, and for supplies when they arrive home. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Above all material items, we ask for your continued prayers over Mateo, Parker, and Lennon as they fight to grow and thrive so they can transition home.
