The Calos Family Needs Our Help

Hi everyone!

Our names are Nicki Goldschmidt & Tammy Quartin and we put together a fundraiser to help our dear friends, The Calos Family, during this incredible time of need.

The mother of this wonderful group, Dorie Calos, has been recently diagnosed with a rare heart disease called hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, and it has taken quite a toll on her health and general ability for her heart to function.

This disease is a condition in which the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick and makes it very hard for the heart to pump blood, and often goes completely undiagnosed. Although treatable, it is incurable, and can be lethal if not taken care of properly.

Dorie is a full time mama of 5, with a 6th on the way, a full time Doula, and a very large and very special piece of our community.

She’s someone that does everything she can to help everyone else and is always there to support every one of us. Wether it’s coming to our rescue with a screaming newborn baby, supporting our small business as well as blasting it all over social media for others to support! Showing up at our events, cheering on our children, car pooling, or even just an ear to listen when things are tough.

For those of you who know this amazing woman you know she is nothing short of incredible. Someone who is ALWAYS there when you need her, even with a full house of children, animals, and a busy husband working his tail off to support his family.

The worst part of all this, is Dorie is just about 33 weeks pregnant with her 4th child (their 6th in total), and is really struggling to stay healthy due to the demand pregnancy puts on the heart and body as a whole.

She’s recently been emitted to the hospital for constant monitoring, and they’re highly recommending she stay until the baby is born (which will not go full term at this point, to make sure both mama and baby stay safe).

With this journey will come an immense amount of medical treatment, NICU stay, childcare for those at home, time off for hubby John, and a plethora of other expenses along the way.

This family is always showing up for others and it’s time we all pull together and do the same for them in return.
