In January a wave of hope started in Broxtowe when 18 Labour Councillors decided to leave the Labour Party and become an independent alliance of councillors. We have taken the first brave step, now we need your support to make this into a tsunami of hope.

It was a tough decision to leave behind over 200 collective years of Labour Party membership, but it was the only way to be able to serve the people who elected us, free from the heavy-handed authoritarian Starmer regime that is destroying the heart and soul of the Labour Party that we knew and loved.

We have formed the Broxtowe Independent Alliance and we have applied to the Electoral Commission to register as a political party. A people-powered party that can stand strong and deliver a manifesto that brings hope for a better future to our communities. A party where integrity and visibility is a core belief and social justice is at the centre of our decision making.

We have already built a membership of over 100 local people who want to see real change in their community, and importantly, we have been joined by a Councillor in our neighbouring borough of Gedling who will be our first none Broxtowe councillor.

We need your support, we need to get our working class candidates elected in May. We need strong local voices who can fight for our community and provide a real alternative to Reform. The Labour Party has lost its way completely and the Tories are the ones that got us into this mess.
