Bright Family Flooded Out

Our friends Natasha and Kile Bright, their kids and pets need your help. Their house was in the path of the Pigeon River floods and is now a complete disaster. It is unknown to what extent their flood insurance will cover the house but it will most likely not cover the contents. They are going to have to take the walls completely down to the studs due to the muddy water and the need to dry out the walls to avoid mold.

Natasha and her brother, Johnathan, spent the night of the flood in the top bunk in the kids’ room along with the 2 dogs and 4 cats. Fortunately the kids were with their Dad outside of the flood zone and could not reach home. 

At the moment the house is unlivable and they will have to have temporary housing while they await FEMA. The kids will need school clothes and toys. The cars and the RV Johnathan was living in are gone.

I’m certain that many of you receiving this appeal will be happy to volunteer in the effort to clean up the house, re-build the walls and paint, but it will still need furniture and appliances and to what extent flood insurance will cover that is not yet known. In any case, the memories and books and photos are gone. Please give what you can to help this family. Even a donation of $5 or$10 will add up to help. Thank you.
