James Gornall Fund

Breanne Gornall was a beloved community worker, friend and mother who sadly passed away at the beginning of July.  Breanne touched the lives of those she worked with and always brought her gentle and giving spirit to the work that she did in the Victoria downtown core.   The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness is starting a campaign to raise funds for her son to help support him financially during this most devastating time.  Our goal is to reach $1000 and will begin by donating $100 ourselves.   We ask all those who have the means to, to donate to help us to support young James in his Mother's Memory.

"Bre had such an incredibly gentle spirit which anyone who met her instantly felt. She was someone who always went over and above any and all expectations, and truly put her whole heart and soul into the relationships she held. It's been very tough to cope with what happened; Breanne was a colleague, but more than that, she was a person who was compassionate and supportive with me. I last saw her in October - I was feeling very insecure about being present on a trip with others, yet one of the first things she said to me was how happy she was to see me and how much it meant that I was there. She was so genuine and meaningful in her actions and words. Ultimately, Breanne showed how much she cared about the well-being of others, even above herself. I send nothing but love, prayers, and these memories to her family and to her in the spirit world. " -- Sarah Littlechild (Colleague and Friend)
