Urgent Crisis Relief for Haiti
The Boukan Family, friends & associates of the community has come together to help our homeland, HAITI.
Due to the 7.2 scale earthquake that took place on August 14, 2021 & the ongoing government instability in Haiti, thousands of families in The South, Nippes and Grand' Anse (Les Cayes and Jeremie specifically ) have been displaced or left homeless as the earthquake has taken their homes.
Most of the families do not have the means to survive & the people of our country need our help!
Boukan has launched this campaign, as well as a donation drive to assist the families with emergency support and resources needed on the ground and will be working in collaboration with ARISE PROJECTS, a local Haitian non-profit organization & local Haitian hospital in the
Les Cayes area, to ensure funds get utilized efficiently & effectively to those who have been displaced and in need of food & sanitary items, among other necessary items.
With the funds donated we will be able to assist in:
~ Putting Family Household Boxes together which will include non-perishable food items
~ Purchasing much needed items such as tents, tarps, blankets, wipes, medical supplies, feminine hygiene products
~ Purchasing shipping containers & pallets
~ Transport of items
100% of the proceeds will be given to the families in Haiti severely affected by the earthquake and who have lost their homes.
Boukan is fortunate to have the support of the Counsulate of Haiti, Dr. Eric Pierre & his non-profit organization, Pierspective Entraide Humanitaire, https://peh-haiti.org/ on board with this initiative.
As a result, all cash donations above $50.00 dropped off at Boukan will receive a tax receipt from the registered Canadian charity, #86450 5068 PR0001.
