Bloom Intention-Flowers For The Community.

My Grandmother made it to 101! In her final years she stayed in a wonderful nursing home, the care was second-to-none, however the facility lacked colour and attention. My mother and I felt taking flowers to the home lifted the spirits of the staff and guests, but also the feel of the home. "Why can't there be flowers here all the time?" we thought...... so we put our heads together and the Bloom Intention was created; a not-for-profit community initiative to bring the joy of flowers to our neighbours and friends and show them that we care . This initiative will deliver handmade faux floral arrangements to care and nursing homes and other charity-run facilities that would appreciate the gift. Luckily, it just so happens that Mum and I are pretty crafty when it comes to floristry and interior design!  We are super proud to get the ball rolling and announce that our first recipient will be the Ronald McDonald house in Tooting. This facility is a home away from home for parents with sick children admitted to St George's Hospital. This house is designed to support the families with necessary facilities like comfortable beds, a kitchen to make home-cooked meals and laundry services. The house is also an escape from the stressful hospital environment. They take pride in this space and therefore the addition of some uplifting floral arrangements would be greatly appreciated, and contribute to their already beautifully-designed home. Please, please, please if you can, make a donation, give what you can and help us deliver a little bit of floral joy to those that need it. Donations will be spent on the following --The faux flowers themselves-Sundries like wire, glue, containers and ribbon-Transport costs of delivery and collection at changeover.
