Thank you on behalf of my Mum Andrea, my wife Elaine and I, for your much appreciated support since my wee Brother Brett suddenly passed away on the 4th of November 2023 aged just 42. We are finding the loss of my Brother a challenge to accept.
Your support, compassion and kindness is very much appreciated during this difficult time. Brett’s funeral was well attended which is testament to Brett, the real people and places that matter, within the community of Salsburgh.
On Sunday the 26th of May 2024, I am cycling in memory of my brother, with Brett’s life long friend William Frame from Turdees Farm, to raise funds for a 24 hour community accessible Emergency Heart Defibrillator, this defibrillator will be donated to the community of Salsburgh in memory of my much loved Brother Brett, and for his love of the community within the village of Salsburgh that we were both born and bred.
This Automatic Emergency Defibrillator “AED” can save a life in certain circumstances, it is a real investment in life and the Community.
I have liaised with Salsburgh Community Council of when and where I will be doing this cycle and where is the most suitable place to site the Defibrillator.
I will cycle from my home in East Kilbride to Salsburgh then from Salsburgh to my Mums home in Armadale around 40 miles due to using cycle friendly routes.
The defibrillator will safely be installed with an electricity supply to charge it and keep it at the correct temperature.
I will arrange the installation and training for the community on how to use the defibrillator, with the agreement and support of the Salsburgh Community Council.
All donations will be very much appreciated, funds raised over and above the cost of purchasing and installing the defibrillator will be donated to benefit the community via the Salsburgh Community Council.
