The Bautista's Need a Roof

Donation protected
This past week, Hurricane Ian slammed into Southwest Florida, ravaging entire cities and communities. One of those cities that took the brunt of Ian's eye, Cape Coral, is where my mom and my sister Julie and her family live. Thankfully, they were able to evacuate and are safe, but Julie's family's home was damaged. Their fence was torn down, their trees uprooted, and most significantly, their roof was ruined. They are also without power and running water - a situation the city is saying could last for weeks. To make matters even worse, they just learned that last month, without warning or notice, their insurance company dropped them.

While thankfully the water damage to their house is minimal, the damage to certain areas of their roof is so severe they need to replace it. It's going to take a minimum of $3,000 to do this. I know that right now a lot of people are suffering and the need is overwhelming for many, so we are thankful for any and all support, whether it's your thoughts and prayers, encouraging words, or if you are able to financially contribute to their new roof. Julie and her family have already begun working on fixing the things they can, cleaning up the massive mess, and helping their neighbors and friends as they all work together to recover from this disaster.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this, and any funds donated will be used for their roof.

My name is Katie Rivera, and I live in Chicago, but this fundraiser is for my sister Julie Bautista who lives in Cape Coral, Florida.
