If you are new here, I am Krystal and The Baobab Way Community Project began after I travelled to Senegal in 2023 and fell in love with the people, villages and way of life. I returned home feeling deeply grateful and knowing I wanted to give back in a meaningful way.

Since then I have personally funded every trip so that every donation raised goes directly to the communities I support. Over the past two years I have provided school supplies, food, baby formula, nappies and other essentials to an orphanage, raised funds for proper mattresses for a single mother and her five children who had been sleeping on broken foam and mum Amee who slept on a bed of bricks. With personal funds and further donations I purchased solar lights for a family living without electricity, supplied drinking water, supported a local children’s football coach with equipment, distributed rice to three villages, and donated toothbrushes and toothpaste to local school children.

Each project begins with listening and is managed by me from beginning to end. There are no middle layers, just direct and transparent support.

Now I am working towards building a community water pump and providing essential educational supplies to rural schools. Access to clean water would improve health, reduce the daily burden on women and children, and allow more time for education.

The Baobab tree represents strength and community. That is what this mission stands for.
