We hope this message reaches you in the best of Emaan and good health. Before we share details of our new project, we would like to remind everyone that at Orphan Care everything we do is for the sake of Allah. Alhamdulillah, we operate on a 100% donation policy – not a single penny of your contribution is used for administration. All our volunteers and trustees cover their own expenses, ensuring that every donation reaches those who need it most.

Through this spirit of sincerity and your unwavering support, Orphan Care has been able to achieve remarkable milestones in both Pakistan and Uganda. Together we have built schools in Peshawar, Jehlum and Dina, providing quality education to over 1,000 children and adults. We established the Taqwa School in Peshawar – one of the most advanced primary schools in Pakistan – which continues to provide both a home and education for 200 orphan children. Over the past 8 years, we have also built 100 homes for street families, and empowered widows and the disabled with opportunities to become self-sufficient.

Beyond Pakistan, Orphan Care recently launched a state-of-the-art orphanage project in Uganda. With Allah’s blessing and your generosity, that project has already become a huge success, transforming the lives of hundreds of orphans. The orphanage includes solar power, a water filtration system, farming, playgrounds, a mosque, staff residences and much more. It is a living example of what we can achieve together for the sake of Allah.

We are now embarking on one of our biggest and most ambitious projects yet in Badaber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This project will provide education, healthcare, housing and spiritual growth for hundreds of orphans and vulnerable families. This project isn't a small feat, we are anticipating 15 months for this project to be fully completed.

Our vision for Badaber is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for 500 children in total, 250 boys and 250 girls. At the heart of the project will be a school and a mosque. On-site staff residences will ensure that the children are cared for around the clock. There will be a dental surgery, a medical doctor’s surgery and a pharmacy to provide free healthcare for the children and the wider community. Flats will also be built on site for street families, continuing the legacy of the 100 homes already provided over the last 8 years.

The total project cost is £980,000. Our trustee, Zulfi Baig, has already made a personal donation of £250,000. We are now seeking to raise the remaining £730,000 to bring this vision to life. This project has been months in the planning and with your help we can make it a reality, Insha’Allah.

This is not just a school or a building. It is a chance to break the cycle of poverty for hundreds of children. It will provide free education, housing, and medical care. It will give street families dignity and shelter. It will create a holistic, sustainable community that uplifts everyone in need. Every pound donated brings us closer to giving these children a brighter future filled with hope, education and opportunity.

Your support, whether large or small, will directly contribute to building this life-changing project. Imagine the reward of providing a child with an education, a widow with a home, a sick person with free medical care, or an orphan with a safe place to sleep.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this” – and he held his two fingers together.

This project is about changing lives now and for generations to come. With your generosity and Allah’s blessings, we can make Badaber a shining example of care, compassion and community – just as we did in Uganda.
