CHACE Village, with the support of ARTlanta Gallery, is looking to launch its first Artist Residency program this summer to give up-and-coming Creatives the skillsets needed to thrive in their respective industries. The 3-month program will be open to five Metro Atlanta Creatives of various mediums and will provide each Artist with a room and workspace in a lakefront home, stipends for art supplies and other expenses, artist critiques, and business mentorship. Creatives will have a safe space, away from distractions, that harnesses the beauty of nature to bolster creativity, allowing the Artists to be supported while putting their efforts into creating bodies of work. At the end of the residency, the CHACE Village and ARTlanta Gallery will produce a show of the created works that will travel throughout Metro Atlanta and beyond.
Your donation will go towards the Artist stipends, room and board expenses and compensation for a staff member to support the Artists during their residency.
What is CHACE Village?
Founded by Atlanta Creative, curator and placemaking specialist, Tyree Smith, CHACE Village sits on 73 acres of beautifully wooded land with a fully stocked 5-acre lake. The vision for the community was born in an effort to create an intentional, dedicated space for the holistic growth of Creatives. We value creativity, art, community and nature and believe people can live more fully when connected to art, nature, and each other.
We envision a sustainable, artistic hub in Metro Atlanta for generations of Creatives to gather and thrive in, all while preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the land.
Our mission is to develop a multiacre incubator that focuses on the true development of Metro Atlanta's Creatives, through the Arts, agriculture, education and hospitality.
