The Arklow Boys Orphanage in Sri Lanka

Hi, We are a group of girls in second year of college in DCU. This summer we are travelling to Sri Lanka to volunteer at The Arklow Boys Orphanage. In a few weeks time, We will be traveling to Negombo, Sri Lanka, where we will be volunteering in an all boys orphanage.

For two weeks, we will be working in an orphanage in Negombo, helping out with the day-to-day running of the orphanage and helping to look after the children. Many orphanages depend on volunteers and continued financial support to help take care of vulnerable children.

We have set up this GoFundMe page to try to help raise some funds for the orphanage that we will be placed in. Any money raised will be spent directly on essential items for the children. This will include items such as sanitary equipment, medicine, toys and educational materials.

We will seek advice from the local lady of the orphanage upon arrival on how funds raised can be best spent to help the orphanage. We will document how all the money raised will be spent, and hopefully show the positive impact that any donations made will have.
