The Aplastic Anemia Trust
Hi, my name is Olivia and I am climbing Snowdon, solo, at midnight on the 27th of May to raise funds for the charity that helped save my dads life.
Aplastic anemia is a rare, life-threatening form of bone marrow failure, it prevents the function of the bone marrow, where all blood cells are produced.
This is important to me because the trust saved my dads life and without the trust I wouldn’t be here today.
Not everyone is as fortunate as my dad, who, thanks to his brother, had a successful bone marrow transplant and made a complete recovery.
The trust supports patients, their families and the NHS to find new drug developments and the new continuing advances in stem cell transplantation.
Thank you for reading this, your support means a lot to me.
