It's been one year since my brother Richard died from incurable brain cancer. Richard was an expert education attorney who actively engaged in progressive and environmental causes and the creative arts -- and he was an always-involved husband and father. Richard also encouraged my annual cross-Iowa RAGBRAI bicycle rides (www.ragbrai.com), and I am dedicating this year's 454-mile ride to his memory.

And to recognize his fatal brain illness, I am raising funds for the American Brain Tumor Association, www.abta.org. In addition to funding needed medical research, the ABTA actively helps individuals with brain cancer and their families.

Please join me in remembering Richard and supporting this worthy charity. Know that all donations will go to the American Brain Tumor Association, and I will reimburse the ABTA for any transaction fees.
