Hi, my name is Grace, I am 16 years old and raising money for Alzheimer’s research by doing a skydive.

My gran is suffering from Alzheimer’s and has recently moved to Poldhu Nursing Home. The nursing home is close to where I live and I visit her as often as I can as I know that soon she wont recognise me and remember that I am her granddaughter. My gran was a very independent lady who loved reading, singing, crossword puzzles, shopping and going out for coffee and lunch with her friends. She was a very proud lady who always wanted to look her best and took great care in her appearance.

Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s has made everyday tasks and activities impossible and she now needs 24 hour care. It just makes me very sad to see my gran deteriorate so quickly so I want to do something to help raise money to find a cure for this really cruel disease.
