This past weekend the lives of countless people changed drastically. Shane and Julie Alzen have touched the hearts of so many people with their faith, heart, and open arms ready to bring you into their family. We hope that if you were one of those people (even if you’re not) you’ll rally around them and their family with prayers, kindness, and whatever you are led to share.
Shane and Julie have been madly in love since 2002. They’ve birthed four beautiful children, Eveian (19), Joanna (18), Jonathan (9), and Rodmond (5) and have several “adopted” children.
Shane and Julie were on their way home from a full day together on his Harley Davidson Road King: a church meeting, a volleyball tournament, an ice cream outing with family, then a visit to Julie’s dad’s recently installed headstone in Hartwell. Minutes from home, a collision ended the earthly life of Shane and caused Julie to be hospitalized where she is currently undergoing surgeries for her injuries. Though her body may be broken, her spirit remains strong in the Lord.
The family had been preparing to celebrate Joanna graduating high school & Eveian graduating Marine Corps Boot Camp. While we still celebrate their achievements, the loss of Shane and the inability of Julie to be present weighs on all of our hearts.
All four kids have been able to gather at home where family is staying and close friends have been near.
We are relying on the Lord to act through each of you who may be reading this to step in and alleviate some of the financial burdens that still need to be maintained.
Multiple avenues are available for you to support the family - this page, a meal train, or directly to Brenda LaBranche (Shane’s mom) via CashApp $BrendaLaBranche.
Any amount is appreciated as family & dear friends work to ensure the children have their needs met, the home is ready for Julie when she is discharged and services that will be planned for Shane to honor him.
We continue to trust in the Lord and believe in His truth - that He will provide and be our hope. If you would allow yourselves to be used by Him & partner with us - in prayer or by providing provisions - we would be grateful.
