At the age of 47, Kelly Snow has been diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer. Because of Kelly's age, this diagnosis took well over a year. Kelly initially sought treatment because he had been dealing with excruciating back pain. He was misdiagnosed several times, where doctors believed that physical therapy was the solution. After one year of insisting that the prescribed treatments had no impact; additional tests discovered that Kelly Snow had Colorectal Cancer. A godsend that Kelly, his wife and family finally knew what was needed for the road to recovery. While the doctor gave Kelly and Alder his diagnosis, he insisted that Kelly would still walk his 4 year old daughter down the aisle.
Kelly had been doing everything physically and mentally possible to continue to work and support his family. The fact he persevered as long as he did, gives great testament to him.
The Snows, Seamans and Butlers don't ask for assitance easily, and this is a humbling experience.
Christy Butler-Snow is flying out to Homer, Alaska to assist Kelly, his Wife Alder, and daughter Avery as Kelly undergoes chemo, radiation and possibly surgery.
Kelly is no longer able to work and we are asking for support to cover medical, travel and lost income. Receiving treatment involves a 120 mile round trip drive; Monday-Friday for 6 to 7 weeks. The surgery will have to take place in Anchorage, followed by additional Chemo.
We ask that you pray for Kelly's health. In the meantime, medical bills, mortgage, food, keeping the electricity on should not be weighing on their shoulders. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and not taken for granted. This family will pay it forward!
We don't know when this battle is going to end, and additional support may/will be appreciated. We just want to get through the first round of Cancer treatment, before we acknowledge what the future may hold for us. Where there's a will, there's a way.
