I’m raising money in support of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA), a registered charity that provides critical care to those in urgent need. Every donation will make a real difference.

You might be surprised to learn that all life-saving air ambulance services in the UK are funded entirely by charitable donations.

Based at Henstridge Airfield in Somerset, the DSAA team can reach any part of Dorset or Somerset in under 20 minutes. Describing their role as “bringing the emergency room to the patient”, the critical care team stabilises and treats people at the scene. If needed, the helicopter can then transfer the patient to a major trauma centre anywhere in the South West within another 20 minutes.

The Twilight 5k is an annual fundraising event in which we walk around the perimeter of Henstridge Airfield in support of this vital service.
