Hi, my name is Brett. I’m taking on The 30 for Men’s Mental Health — running 30 different parkruns in 30 different locations across the North East and beyond over the course of a year.
This challenge is rooted in my own experience of anxiety, depression and ADHD, and in the loss of close friends to suicide and mental health struggles.
I’m fundraising to support Mind, the mental health charity, and Brews Brothers, a local men’s peer-support group, with all funds split 50/50.
This challenge is about movement, conversation, and reminding men that they don’t have to carry things alone.
I’m launching this around Time to Talk Day, because talking really does matter. A conversation won’t fix everything, but it can be the first step towards help, hope, and connection.
How you can help
If this resonates with you, you can help by:
• Donating — any amount really does make a difference
• Sharing this page — it helps reach people who may need it
• Talking — check in on the men in your life, even with a simple “How are you really doing?”
And if you’re struggling yourself: you’re not weak, broken, or alone. Help exists, and your life matters.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for supporting.
And thank you for helping keep this conversation going.

I’ll be sharing updates from each parkrun, reflections along the way, and progress on the challenge over on Instagram:
