100KM. 15KG. 30 HOURS. 1 MISSION.
This September, four British Army officers will take on a gruelling 100km endurance race—each carrying a traditional 15kg doko basket on their backs. Why? To honour the incredible strength, resilience, and sacrifice of the Gurkha soldiers, and to raise vital funds for the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
The doko is more than just a basket—it symbolizes the burden Gurkha families have carried for generations, often across treacherous terrain and against all odds. By shouldering this weight for 100 kilometres, our team hopes to raise awareness—and much-needed support—for the veterans and widows who once carried ours.
The Gurkhas have stood by Britain for over 200 years. Now it’s our turn to stand by them.
