Tharp Embryo Adoption
Donation protected
The night Reece and I met we talked about wanting our lives to be marked by loving the underdog. We always wanted for adoption to be a part of our story, we just didn’t ever think it’d be our only option.
After years of infertility and loss and another round of the procedure that had originally helped us to become pregnant had been unsuccessful Reece and I decided to pivot and moved toward embryo [snowflake] adoption. For those who are unfamiliar, when families who do in-vitro fertilization (IVF) are done expanding their families, the remaining embryos are frozen [hence snowflakes] indefinitely. In pursuing this particular route, I would get to carry and birth such little lives though they wouldn’t share mine and Reece’s DNA.
Though the years of waiting, poking, prodding, and loss have not been something I would have ever asked for, I can say with 100% certainty that the Lord is good. We can even see how the Lord has been using this adoption and His hand through the process.
The process is slower than we’d like but we wait in hope of raising miracle babies. We wanted to share our hearts with the people around us and hope to be an encouragement to other families who may be in similar situations. If in reading this you want to come alongside us, here are some practical ways to join us as we continue this journey.
1. Pray for us as we wait and hope. Pray that the Lord would sustain these precious lives.
2. Share with us, we have been so encouraged by hearing others’ stories of God’s goodness through adoption
3. Donate- if you’d like to bless us practically with a gift as we pay for contract fees, transfer fees, or any of the other myriad fees, we’d be honored and deeply grateful.
